PennNYC Event: Grit! Perseverance and Passion for Long-Term Goals

Spend an evening with Dr. Angela Lee Duckworth and learn what you can do with a little grit.

PennNYC and the Penn Club of New York welcome University of Pennsylvania Assistant Professor of Psychology Dr. Angela Lee Duckworth (G’03, GR’06) for a presentation on Grit: Perseverance and Passion for Long-term Goals. Grit distinguishes top performers from their equally talented peers. During this event, Professor Duckworth will review the role of grit in determining achievement and explore how grit can be precisely measured, its relation to measures of talent, and what seems to contribute to its development.  Dr. Angela Duckworth received her MA and PhD in Psychology. Her dissertation work was on Positive Psychology with Dr. Martin Seligman.
