Dale Kramer Cohen, Chairman
Eunice Chen, President
Eunice is currently the founder and Managing Director of
Brandcookie Marketing Events, which produces interactive and guerrilla
marketing experiences that bring brands to life to engage directly with
consumers. A serial entrepreneur with a well-rounded background in
various industries, including past employment at Goldman Sachs, EA Games
(Electronic Arts), and MMG Partners for strategy and management consulting, Eunice co-founded the Weiss Tech House, a venture capital group at the University
of Pennsylvania which funds and mentors entrepreneurs on campus. She helped
direct its growth from concept to execution into the prominent hub it is today,
which funds numerous exciting technology startups with endless potential. Eunice graduated
from the University of Pennsylvania in Computer Science with an Economics minor.
Sandra Yens, VP/Treasurer
Sandra
is currently volunteering for PennNYC and the University of Pennsylvania
Pro-bono Alumni Consulting group (PennPAC). Her background includes working in
strategic planning, finance, and economic consulting. Sandra graduated from the
University of Pennsylvania with a Bachelor of Arts in Economic History and
minors in Economics and Math. While at Penn, Sandra was a member of the Varsity
Fencing team and Alpha Phi International.
Aditya Chadha, Vice President of Technology
Melissa Hozik, Vice President of Membership
Melissa Hozik (GR'09) is serving her first term as the PennNYC VP
of Membership. Melissa graduated from Penn with a Master in Public Information
and Certificate in Nonprofit Administration, and holds a second masters in
Library and Information Science. Melissa currently works in higher education
administration at the City College of New York. Her out-of-office
projects include being a website/social networking marketing consultant and
is a mental health advocate.
Jason Shapiro, Vice President of Development
Jason Shapiro is a senior executive with experience managing
companies in a variety of roles including Board member, CEO, CFO, and other
advisory capacities. Mr. Shapiro is currently Chief Financial Officer and a
Board member of a public infrastructure construction company. On the board of
PennNYC, Jason is responsible for business development and outreach. Mr.
Shapiro is also a Board Director and Audit Committee member of The Shield
Institute, a 90 year-old subsidiary of a $200+Million Non-Profit that is a
leader in providing services to for children and adults with autism and other
disabilities. Mr. Shapiro earned his MBA from the University of Pennsylvania’s
The Wharton School and his J.D from the Seton Hall University School of Law.
Graham Ober, Vice President of Communications
Graham Ober is an Analyst at Credit Suisse in the Investment Banking Division, based in New York. Graham graduated
from the University of Pennsylvania with a Bachelor of Arts with distinction in
Philosophy, Politics, and Economics (PPE) in May 2012. He was awarded the
College Alumni Prize in PPE and served as the Chair of the PPE Program’s
Undergraduate Board. Additionally, Graham served as the President of the Penn
Alumni Student Society, the primary conduit between undergraduates and the
global alumni network of the University. Graham also served as Secretary of the
Dean’s Advisory Board for the College of Arts and Sciences and co-led the major
gifts effort for the Class of 2012 fund. Graham remains an active Penn alumnus,
serving as a Vice-President for PennNYC, a Committee Chair for undergraduate
admissions interviews in Latin America and the Caribbean, and as a
member of the yPenn (Young Penn) Alumni Board.
Jennie Ripps, Venue Manager
JennieRipps
is the founder of Owl's Brew, a "tea crafted for cocktails", and of
The Teaologist, a company specializes in creating custom tea blends. Previous
to starting her own companies, Jennie was the director of the sponsorship
division of Talent Resources, a boutique marketing firm specializing in
experiential marketing and celebrity relations. Jennie is also a member of
Cohort Seven of Goldman Sachs’ 10,000 Small Businesses program.
